This week marks the WCAC Playoffs, one of the best playoff formats in use in the region and featuring a handful of very quality teams with a ton of talent on the field. The top 8 teams played a single-game quarterfinal matchup on Saturday to set up the best-of-three semifinal series, which began yesterday. 

In yesterday's action, top-seeded St. John's College beat St. Paul VI, 4-1, to take a lead in their series. 2nd-seeded and defending WCAC Champ Gonzaga beat sixth-seeded Bishop O'Connell, 4-1, to take the lead in their series. Game 2 in both series will be this afternoon, with potential Game 3s tomorrow. The Championship best-of-three series begins on Thursday, with game 2 on Friday and a potential winner-takes-all Game 3 on Saturday.
