With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Waterford Wildcats

Team Name: Waterford Wildcats
Head Coach: Doug Huffman
Division: IV
2018 Record: 15-10
Conference Record: TVC Hocking,12-4
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/6

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Defense
  • Speed

Coach Outlook: "Feel we have a good nucleus, hoping summer players make strides from Freshmen to Sophomore season. Have several kids who threw Varsity innings. Always have goals of League, District, Regional, and State titles."

PBR Outlook: Coach Doug Huffman and the Waterford Wildcats always have high expectations, and the 2019 season is no different. Five starters return along with six arms has the Wildcats on the prowl in 2019.

  • Braden Bellville, RHP/3B, 5-11/200, SR- 3 Year Starter, .423 AVG, .517 OBP, Pitching 0-3, 1 Save 3.03 ERA
