2017 CONNECTICUT SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Westhill

Team Name: Westhill
Head Coach: DJ Mulvaney
Division: LL
2016 Record: 11-10
Conference Record: 9-7 FCIAC
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/5

2017 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching Depth
  • Experienced Position Players
  • Power at the top of Order

2017 Team Weaknesses:

  • Speed

Coach Outlook: "Good balance of experience and good young talent. Hard working group with great potential."

PBR Outlook: Westhill is extremely deep with pitching and position players. Michael Lisniccihia, had a monster year last year, can swing it from the left side, log good innings off the mound. The Semmel brothers are legit power threats, should hit right in the middle of the lineup. MacDonald and Socci, both RHP's, should round out the pitching staff.

Top Returning Players:

  • Michael Lisniccihia, OF/RHP, 2017
  • Dean DePreta, SS, 2017
  • Hunter Semmel, 1B, 2018
  • John MacDonald, RHP, 2018
  • Leo Socci, RHP, 2019
  • Blake Newcomer, LHP, 2017

Top Underclassmen:

  • Bobby Zmarzlak, OF, 2019
  • Montana, Semmel, 3B/C, 2019
  • TJ Wainwright, 3B/SS, 2019
  • Joey Skarad, C, 2018
