With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Zane trace pioneers

Conference Record: Scioto Valley Conference, 11-3, (2nd)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Offense

Coach Outlook: "We return a lot of offense, but pitching depth will be a concern."

PBR Outlook: Coach Allen and the Pioneers are coming off an outstanding 22 win season in 2018 and return a good amount of talent. The Pioneers should be a team to watch in league and come tourney time.

  • Chad Ison - 3B/P .391 BA, 2 HR, 25 RBI, 6-3 W/L 3.64 ERA
