Lewis University nabbed its second Nazareth Academy prospect in as many weeks when the Flyers received a commitment from slick-fielding SS Michael Barajas. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Barajas is one of the top defensive middle infielders in the state, as he helped lead Nazareth Academy to the Illinois High School Coaches Association summer state championship. Mark Garton, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound catcher from Rockford Boylan HS, has committed to Western Illinois. Garton, who’s a top-level defensive backstop, was one of the fastest rising prospects over the summer. Last week, Western Illinois landed commitments from RHP/OF Nick Milligan and RHP Tyler Farrell, both from Galesburg HS. …
