St.  Charles East LHP Wes Benjamin, who earned Prep Baseball Report second-team All-State honors as a junior last year, has committed to Kansas University. Benjamin established himself as a premier prospect last year when he posted a 13-2 record with a 1.26 ERA. Behind an 85-89 mph fastball, solid curveball and changeup, he struck out 112 and walked 25 in 83 innings. Josh Harris, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound LHP/1B from Streamwood HS, has committed to Villanova University. A three-year standout, Harris helped lead Streamwood to a surprising runner-up finish at the IHSBCA summer state tournament in July.
