Elk Grove junior Czeszewski is off the board

By Sean Duncan

Jack Czeszewski, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP, has verbally committed to Illinois State University. Czeszewski is currently ranked No. 11 overall in the Class of 2012 and is the top outfield prospect in the junior class.

Czeszewski is a hard-nosed player who impressed at the Super 60 Pro Showcase in February by running a 6.78 60. Czeszewski also has a quick, compact line-drive swing from the left side and is a top-level defensive outfielder. Czeszewski was an impact player at St. Viator HS as a sophomore last year.

With Czeszewski off the board, nine of the top 20 ranked junior prospects in the state are now verbally committed.

In other recruiting news, Dylan Arvai, a SS/RHP from Zeigler-Royalton HS, has committed to Shawnee CC.

Eddie Nelson, a RHP/INF from Plainfield South HS, has committed to Prairie State.
