Evansville Central?s Maroni, steals the show



 Andrew Maroni P/1B Evansville Central 2011: Andrew is a 6-foot-3, 175 pound LHP coming off arm surgery. His return was better than anticipated.  At the event he showed off"" a quiet and quick swing. He gets to extension well, and at times his bat is flat through the zone. On the mound, however, is where Maroni shined the most. He showed a projectable body with a slow mechanical delivery that lead to a quick arm. He sat in the 81-85 range and topping out at 86. Though he still showed some signs of ?coming back,? he is certainly in the running as one of the top unsigned arms in Indiana.

""Keith Patton, OF/RHP, North Posey, 2011: Keith is 6-foot-2 inch 195 pound, strong armed outfielder (81). He showed some athleticism, and possesses a lot of raw power.  On the mound, he sat in the 77-83 range with a short armed action, and a lot of room to grow mechanically.

Kyle Pitlick, OF/C, Castle, 2012: Kyle is a quick runner, with an event best of 4.05 from home to first. He is a wide base contact hitter with good balance and quick hands. He was an athletic outfielder that was limited to throwing due to an arm injury.

Curran Davis, 2B/SS, Evansville North, 2013: Curran is a 5-foot-11 inch 165 pound MIF. Curran showed a good approach both at the plate and in the field.
