Expanded Class of 2013 player rankings are released

It appears that the Class of 2013 will continue Illinois? run of producing top-level prospects on a national level. Although it is still very early, this group of sophomores appears to be another special class. In our newly released Class of 2013 rankings, we identify the top 50 prospects we?ve seen so far.

Once again, Harrisburg SS/RHP Ryne Roper heads the class, though not by much. Following closely behind Roper are: Huntley 3B/RHP Bryce Only, Hinsdale Central RHP Adam Dressler, Alton C Brent Gibbs, Danville C Chuckie Robinson, Lyons Township RHP/C Keith Lehmann, Downers Grove South RHP Dan Mayer, O?Fallon RHP Jacob Jarvis, Normal West SS/RHP Matthew James and Edwardsville RHP Bryce Cantrall.

Many players saw their stock rise during the offseason. Gibbs, a physical 6-foot, 195-pounder, is the biggest revelation of the offseason, along with left-handed hitting Lake Zurich C Anthony Drago, Simeon OF Corey Ray and Cantrall to name a few.
