LN star senior makes his commitment

Cory Meixner is a 6-foot, 175 pound OF/P/3B, and will be continuing his baseball career next fall at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. As a junior, Mexiner hit .370 with 9 homeruns, and was one of the toughest outs in the always tough Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference.  So far this season he is hitting .441, with 4 doubles, 2 triples, 8 RBIs and 8 runs in eight games played.  He is also excelling on the mound, starting 3 games for the Cats with a 2.5 ERA and 15 Ks. With a strong arm (89-91 from OF), good speed and range, expect Meixner to play outfield at the next level.
