Wauconda catcher Jeff Jackson, who had committed to Arizona State early in his junior year, has had a change of heart and will attend Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill., Wabash Valley College coaching staff confirmed. As a junior last year, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Jackson batted .531 with 15 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 34 RBI. Jackson did not play high school baseball as a freshman and sophomore. Nevertheless, he was a highly ranked national prospect and committed to Arizona State in the fall of his junior year.

Former Sandburg OF Ryan Cowhey, who’s now a sophomore at Oakton CC, has committed to Western Illinois. The left-handed hitting Cowhey enjoyed a breakout year at Oakton.

Will Pahos, a RHP from Hinsdale Central HS, has committed to Grinnell College in Iowa.

Jamell Blue, a LHP from Harlan HS, has committed to Frank Phillips College in Texas.
