Congratulations to Branson HS RHP Mike Compton (right) on being named the Prep Baseball Player of the Week. During the week of 3/20-3/27, the Florida State commit and No. 9 ranked player in the Class of 2011, led Branson to a 3-1 start. In two starts, Compton went 2-0 with 27 strikeouts and allowing one walk in 13 innings pitched. In his first start of the season, Compton threw a perfect game.

No slouch at the plate, Compton is batting .538 with seven hits (four of which are doubles) in thirteen ABs and five RBIs.
