Q and A with 2012 Ohio Dominican Commit Ryan Colegate

Prep Baseball Report caught up with pitcher Ryan Colegate from Centerville. Read more as Ryan describes about his verbal commitment to Ohio Dominican.
 
PBR: Why did you choose Ohio Dominican? 
Colegate: The college was the right size and location.

PBR: What other schools were you considering? 
Colegate: Uni of Dayton, College of Lake Erie, Wright St

PBR: Where did Ohio Dominican first see you? How did your relationship develop with Coach Page? 
Colegate: During a game against the Columbus Cobras at ODU in early June. My summer coach played at ODU and introduced us.

PBR: Coach Page has made Ohio Dominican a baseball powerhouse. What will it be like to play under the legendary coach? 
Colegate: It will be honor and a privilege

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus? 
Colegate: With hard work and dedication I hope to contribute some quality innings.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Ohio Dominican? 
Colegate:  Being a supportive teammate and a hard worker I hope to contribute to ODU winning tradition.

PBR: How has travel baseball helped your development as a player? 
Colegate: Facing high level competition has helped me raise my quality of play.

PBR: What was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Colegate: Pitching a complete game two hit shutout to help my team advance in the Buckeye Elite where we finished tied for fourth.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Colegate:  My parents and summer coach Lance Baker they have been very supportive. 

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio? 
Colegate: Jacob Galloway (Wright State recruit)
