Michael Martin, a top-level athlete from Stevenson HS, has committed to Harvard University. Few players in the state have seen a more significant jump than Martin in the last six months. Martin has proven to be one of the premier athletes in the class, as he ran an event-best 6.52 60 at the Stevenson Showcase in June. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound outfielder also has a strong arm from the outfield, in addition to lightning quick hands at the plate.

Conor Salvino, a catcher from Nazareth Academy HS, has committed to Olivet-Nazarene University, and fellow Nazareth teammate OF Matthew Lapinsky has committed to St. Joseph’s College. The Roadrunners, who won the summer state championship, have had six players commit already, joining RHP Ryan Powers (Miami Ohio), SS Michael Barajas (Lewis), 3B Anthony Baldassano (Lewis) and 1B A.J. Ryan (Dayton).
