Prep Baseball Report

Three more players pick schools

Isaac Greenspon, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound RHP from Stevenson HS, has committed to Stetson University. Greenspon emerged over the summer and fall as a prospect to pay close attention to when his fastball climbed to the mid-to-upper 80s to go along with a solid curveball and changeup, all with good command. Greenspon marks the third Stevenson Class of 2011 pitcher to commit to a Division I program, joining LHP Jeremy Scheck (Clemson) and RHP Tyler Radtke (Villanova). Outfielder Michael Martin has also committed to Harvard. ?

Cody Seeberger, a 1B for O?Fallon HS, has committed to play baseball at the Olney Central College. Last spring, Seeberger  hit .333 with 8 doubles, 3 home runs and 32 RBI for the 25-14 sectional champion Panthers. ?

Tyler Lau, a 6-foot, 180-pound OF from Cary-Grove HS, has committed to the University of Illinois-Springfield. The athletic Lau was a standout performer at the Prep Baseball Report Unsigned Senior Showcase in October. He ran a 6.96 60 and showcased athletic actions and a strong, accurate arm with some carry (84 mph). He also swung the bat the well, showing a mechanically sound, quiet approach which produced consistent line drives.
