Three more prospects pick their schools

More players pick their schools:

Drake Robison, a 6-foot, 160-pound RHP/INF from Machesney Park Harlem HS, has committed to Iowa Western CC. Robison continues a long line of solid pitching tradition at the Machesney Park school. The right-hander helped lead Harlem to a surprising Elite Eight run in the IHSBCA summer state tournament in July. Robison has a quick arm and a lively mid-80s fastball that has climbed as high as 87 mph at a PBR event as a junior. His curveball has the potential to be a solid out pitch, as it displayed tight 12/6 break.

Zack Weigel, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound OF/LHP from Oak Park-River Forest HS, has committed to Seton Hall University. Weigel was the model of consistency for Oak Park last spring, as the two-way talent delivered on a daily basis. The left-handed hitter finished with a .500 batting average in 110 at-bats. Of his 55 hits, 11 went for doubles, in addition to 4 homers and 3 triples. Weigel also racked up 43 runs, 32 RBI, 17 walks, 5 stolen bases and struck out only 6 times. At the Prep Baseball Report Top Prospect Showcase in June, Weigel ran a 6.95 60 while demonstrating a clean, line drive-producing swing from the left side.

Zack Jones, an athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound OF/RHP from Mt. Vernon HS, has committed to Rend Lake College. The left-handed hitting Jones was a standout at the PBR Open Invitational Showcase over the summer.
