Mascoutah improved to 6-0 with a 6-3 win over Roxana. Junior 3B Konnor Huffman and senior C Alex Ryckert each had RBI doubles to lead the Indians attack. Junior Reid McClain (2-0) fired three shutout innings in relief and fanned six to pick up the win. Roxana falls to 0-4.

Bloomington (2-2) defeated  Rock island 5-3 behind a complete-game performance from senior Scott Dillman (1-0). Senior SS Tyler Dicken led the Purple Raider attack with a double and a triple with two RBI. Junior Scott Johnson chipped in with a pair of doubles. Rock Island falls to 0-4.

Danville Schlarman (3-0) put a 20-spot on the board at Cobden on Thursday. Hilltopper Alec Neal tripled twice and drove in five ?Topper runs as Schlarman overwhelmed the Apple Knockers 20-9. Cobden (0-2) led 9-0 after three innings.

Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin (1-1) rolled past No. 25 Edwardsville 10-5.
Cyclone Jarrod Sergent led the SHG attack with a double and a triple and drove home two Cyclone runs. 6-foot-5 junior RHP Ridge Ackerman (1-0) picked up the win in relief.

No. 25 Edwardsville (1-1) was led by junior 1B Alex Reish, who was 2-for-2 for the Tigers with a double. 6-foot-8 senior RHP Zach Sedlacek (0-1) was the losing pitcher.
Sedlacek drove in a pair of Tiger runs in the losing cause.

Murphysboro (3-2) blanked Pinckneyville 10-0 in five innings behind senior LHP Dylan Craig (2-0). The future Illinois State Redbird struck out 11 and allowed one single in his five-inning gem. Craig has fanned 25 in his 10 innings of work this spring. Red Devil Eben Brooks hammered a two-run homer for Murphysboro and Zane Heller plated three to lead the Red Devil attack.

Benton (5-0) rocked Century 14-4 in five innings for the Rangers fifth consecutive win. Junior C Trey Garrett drove home three Ranger runs and Mason Childers chipped in with two hits and a pair of RBI.

Bethalto Civic Memorial (2-0) pasted Piasa S.W. 8-3 behind a four-hit performance from senior leadoff man Jack McKinney. McKinney had two doubles and scored two Eagle runs. Fellow seniors Nick Dorsey and Zack Tobin chipped in with a two-run double for Dorsey and a two-run triple for Tobin. Piasa S.W. is 1-2.
