Scouting Report

Gilbert is one of many talented arms in the Jr. Class at Mckinney Boyd. He took the mound at State Games and showed a big fastball that topped out at 91.4 mph. The command isn’t always there yet, but the fastball is real. It also topped out at 19.2’’ of IVM giving it some interesting characteristics.  He throws a slider and changeup as well. The slider has swing and miss potential. Gilbert has all the stuff, as the command continues to improve, Gilbert will continue to make a name for himself.
