No. 4 Webb City vs. Rogersville

LHP Tyler Burgess (right) led No. 4 Webb City to a dominating ""12-1 victory over Rogersville. Burgess, the No. 7 Ranked Player in the PBR Class of 2011, went five innings, striking out ten batters and allowing only two hits. Burgess used his late moving fastball that sat 86-89 mph to overpower the Rogersville hitters.

Offensively, Klay James and Scott Rodrique combined to drive in six runs and score five. James went 3-3 with two doubles, three RBIs, and two runs scored and Rodrique 2-3 with a double, single and three RBIs to set the pace for the Webb City offense. Burgess contributed at the plate going 2-4 with three RBIs.

 

No. 5 Staley vs. Lee?s Summit

""No. 5 Staley defeated Lee?s Summit 8-4. Senior Isaac Greisinger (left)  went 2-4 with a double and three runs scored.  Starting pitcher, Josh Lansangan picked up the win for Staley, going 4.1 innings, scattering five hits and allowing 4 runs (2 earned)

 

Corbin Berkstresser lead  Lee?s Summit?s offense going 2-4 with a homerun, three RBIs and one run scored in the losing effort.

 

No. 10 Vianney vs. No. 17 Lindbergh

""No. 10 Vianney defeated No. 17 Lindbergh by a score of 11-5. Vianney was led at the plate by senior 1B Ryan Barnes (right) and junior SS Jake Walters, who each collected two RBIs. Barnes went 2-4 with RBI singles in the first and fifth innings, and coming around to score a run in the fifth. Walters was 2-3, with RBI singles in the second and sixth inning, and scored two runs.

RHP Aaron Bossi picked up the win, throwing 4.2 innings striking out five batters and allowing one earned run on seven hits.

 

Savannah HS vs. Chillicothe HS

""The battery of two-time All State Pitcher junior RHP Blake Mcfadden (right) and two-time All-State Outfielder Senior C Brett Smith propelled Class 3 Savannah High School to 3-0 start with a 12-1 victory over MEC conference rival Chillicothe.   McFadden went 5  innings allowing  four hits, one walk, while striking out eight strike and allowing one unearned run.  

""Offensively, Smith (left) and Mcfadden led the Savannah attack. Smith scored two runs and had one RBI, with a sacrifice fly, walk, and a hit by pitch.   Mcfadden had one hit and two walks, withtwo runs scored.

 In three games Savannah has outscored their opponents 41-2, with both runs unearned.
