No. 1 Lake Central 8 Portage 4

Lake Central improved to 12-0 on the season in their win over Portage. Taylor Lehnert worked five innings of five hit ball and Jordan Polito finished the last two. Polito also added a first inning grand slam. Cody Jackson took the loss for Portage.
 
No. 2 Cathedral 13 Ritter 0
Cathedral jumped on Ritter early scoring five runs in the first. They would add five more in the third and three in the fourth in the win.
 
No. 3 Bloomington South 5 Bloomington North 2
Caleb Baechtold threw six strong innings allowing just one earned run on four hits and striking out seven to pick up the win. South scored all of its runs in the third inning, which included a Kevin Swango two run homerun and a Jon Robertson RBI single. North?s Colby Stratten had two doubles scoring once and Carlos Gould had both RBIs and a double.
 
No. 4 Penn 11 SB Adams 4
Penn scored nine runs in the second inning en route to their win. Kyle Schneider had a big day at the plate hitting two homeruns, Brady Szekendy also hit a homerun for Penn. Chad Witmer picked up his second win on the year. Tyler Thompson and Caleb Birkey both had doubles in the win.
 
No. 16 McCutcheon 11 No. 6 Zionsville 2
JT Yocum and Justin Curry pitched McCutcheon past Zionsville, Yocum got the win and Curry had a two run double. McCutcheon jumped on Zionsville early scoring six runs in the first inning. Max Kuhn provided some offense for Zionsville hitting a homerun.
 
Cowan 22 Eastern (Hancock) 1
Many of Cowan?s hitters had good days at the plate, Stewart Kerr had a great day going 3-4, 2B, HR, seven RBIs, and one run. Cowan also had good days from Aaron Wells (2-3, HR, three RBIs, two runs), Jon Miller (3-4, 2B, HR, two RBIs, three runs), and Austin Carrier (1-1, HR, three RBIs).
 
Columbus North 2 Franklin Central 1
Adam Jones picked up the win going seven strong innings. He gave up two hits on the day with nine strikeouts and giving up one unearned run. Preston Shelton went 2-3 on the day and Coledon Hoeltke and Will Nelson each had an RBI.
 
Evansville Mater Dei 15 Vincennes Lincoln 4
Vincennes Lincoln took a three run lead after the first and held that until Mater Dei busted out in the 4th with a seven run inning to take the lead for good. Mater Dei collected 13 hits in the game.
 
Booneville 11 Perry Central 9
Perry Central looked to be in control of the game with a 9-4 lead after four innings. Boonville responded with two runs in the 5th, three in the 6th, and two in the 7th to break the 9-9 tie and get the victory.
 
Greensburg 4 Rushville 2
Vanderbur threw five innings for Greensburg giving up two runs on six hits striking out two. Kane threw the final two innings striking out four and earning his third save of the year. Greensburg scoring was lead with two RBIs by Holdsworth and a RBI by Rigney. Senior Maschino went 2-2 at the plate and drawing a walk. Juniors Tressler and Bailey each added a couple hits.
 
Lebanon 9 Frankfort 0
Jacob Shike threw his second consecutive complete game shutout of the season, going all seven innings, striking 13, walking three, and allowing only three hits on the night.  Senior Daniel Stevenson would end the night 3-3 with two HR's, a BB, and three RBI.  Junior Mitchell Starkey would also have three hits on the night, going 3-4.  Freshman Isaac Harker would contribute a pair of hits.
 
Lafayette Jefferson 9 Lafayette Harrison 7 F/9
Tyler Robbins (7 IP), Peter Ripke, Wes Robledo (W), and Sean McDonald (S) combined for 19 strikeouts for Jeff. Carlos Campos led the Jeff offense going 4-5 with three RBIs. Payton Smith led the Harrison offense going 2-4 with a homerun and two RBIs.
