Still uncommitted, and despite bouncing around and playing on a few different teams throughout the event, OF/LHP Dylan Mayer (New Trier, 2023), was one of the biggest winners from the Illinois State Games. Physically built at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, Mayer turned heads with a loud round of BP on the workout day, averaging 96.3 mph off the barrel and 321 feet per batted ball. He hit a ball that traveled 393 feet at 102.5 mph, something that we haven’t seen done much since TrackMan was integrated into our events. Mayer’s inherent strength showed in his first game, where he squared a loud lineout to center field and doubled off the right field fence. He later hopped on the mound, pitching in the low-80s, topping at 85 mph with hard angle and tilt while spinning an upper-60s breaking ball at 2,504 RPM.
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Wide-shouldered, highly-athletic frame.
Delivery: Quick leg-lift into balance point, slight preload in the back knee that maintains bend throughout stride, stride remains in-line with the plate. In-game stats: 2 IP, 3K, 1 BB, 0R
Arm Action: LH. Long/loose arm swing into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 81-84 mph. Plays mostly straight with some tilt through the zone. T2237, 2105 average rpm.
CB: 63-70 mph. Flashed sharp 1/7 action. T2504, 2285 average rpm.

Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Wide-shouldered, highly-athletic frame.
Hits: RHH. Balanced, slightly open setup, short stride. Advanced bat strength and hand strength. Long through the zone, natural lift and ball jumps off the barrel.
Power: 102 max exit velocity, averaged 96.3 MPH. 393' max distance.
Arm: LH. OF-90 mph. High 3/4 slot, quick, accurate arm, with life and carry through the target
Defense: Sure handed, clean transfer, crow hops to release, gets behind the ball
Run: 7.09 runner in the 60.

Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 195-pound, wide-shouldered, athletic frame with room for added strength. Right-handed hitting, left-handed throwing outfielder who has also been up to 86 mph on the mound. Looked the part in the box. Balanced setup, fluid pre-pitch actions and flashed bat strength. Left the yard for a two-run home run in his first at-bat.
