Maryland Preseason All-State Session I

Body: 6’0’’, 180 pounds. Strong, projectable 6-foot, 180-pound frame with athleticism in the actions.
Hit: RHH. Loose, open stance with the barrel starting straight up and down from a low position at the chest. Utilized a short lift and replace stride allowing the barrel to enter the zone through a twitchy, slightly vertical path into the hitting zone. Featured tight turns at the plate and flashed the ability to consistently hit the ball hard during his batting practice round, spraying hard contact through the middle of the field primarily using a line drive approach (36% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball). An 86 mph average bat exit velocity compares admirably to his 96 mph peak, showing off the barrel accuracy he possesses.
Power: 96 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Has been up to a 360+ foot batted ball distance in the past, (304 feet on this date). Present pop to pull side and ability to run it out of the yard when pitched up above the thighs.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. Short and quick, high ¾ slot with a hitchy takeaway at times. Accurate across the diamond with slight ASR at times.
Defense: Started wide and attacked with the feet always moving, adequate posture at the fielding window, and kept the shuffles gaining ground towards the target while funneling into the beltline. Solid pace during defensive evaluations with a smooth glove hand, should be able to stick on the left side moving forward.
Run: 7.17 60-yard time.

Maryland Preseason Preview

Body: 6’0”, 175 pounds. Strong, athletic frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from an open, balanced stance at the plate. Short, quick back load with solid hand separation and quick bat speed through contact. Stays behind the ball well with a compact swing and a slightly uphill bat path. Keeps his hands inside the ball well with excellent extension through and past contact. Ball explodes off the bat with strong lower half involvement and a powerful gap-to-gap line drive approach.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Power to the gaps and alleys is present with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Plays through the ball well with quick, active feet in the infield. Fields the ball out in front, funneling to the chest with clean exchanges. Loose, clean actions with solid range side to side.
Run: 4.28 Home to first base time.

Maryland Western Trials

Body: 5’11’’, 165 pounds. Athletic frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate. Quick load and short stride. Stays behind and short to the ball with a more level swing path. Compact swing with quick hands and bat speed through the zone. Strong extension through contact with a one-handed finish. Really nice middle of the field line drive approach with pop.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Present power to the pull side and more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a mid three-quarter slot. Showed the ability to change slots depending on the type of play.
Defense: Works through the ball in the infield with an athletic setup and fields the ball out in front funneling to chest. Plays loose, moves well and showed later range. Slight glove tap in exchange.
Run: 7.37 60-yard time.
