Stands 6-foot-0, 190-pounds with a durable backstop, very athletic evidenced by his 6.67 60-yard dash. Wide setup up defensively, soft glove, quick release, impressive pop-times at 1.94 best recorded for him on the day. In the box high hands close to body, slightly open stance, barrel is fluid with above average bat-speed at 93 mph. Would benefit from more aggressiveness with his lower half. 

Sanchez stands 6-foot-0, 190-pounds from a strong athletic build behind the dish. He ran a 6.92 60 yard dash on lasers showing off premium athleticism from the catching position. At the plate he uses a narrow stance slightly open, hands high with a loose bat waggle, on the pitch small stride back to even, barrel path is fluid and level, compact to the ball, long finish shoulder-high, exit velocity of 89 mph off of tee, signs of gap-to-gap power. Defensively, receives the ball from a slightly narrow stance behind the dish, soft hands, extra fast footwork, quick release from a short arm action to the ear, an impressive 77 mph arm strength from the catching position with a 1.94 pop time, very exciting catching prospect from the Greater Rochester New York area.

Sanchez checks in at 5-foot-11 190 pounds.  Offensively- The right-handed hitter is more open then the last time we seen him; gains ground on stride with a slightly elevated swing path, working more through the middle of the field. Exit velocity peaked at 81 MPH today. Defensively- Quick exchange from glove to hand, traditionally short catcher's arm action. Exchanges feet, gaining positive ground towards 2B. Steady receiver and good in the dirt. Top arm strength was 73 MPH with his pop time range 2.01-2.07.  

Physical 5-foot-11 190 pound catcher who hits from the right side.  Offensively- Wide setup with front foot slightly turned in; hands releaxed just off the back shoulder. Quiet timing, balanced and aggressive lower half; swing plane stays level through the zone with a late one-hand finish. Exit velocity was 82 MPH.  Defensively- Consistent 2.0-2.01 pop time range; throwing arm got ahead of his footwork on a few creating a shortened release. Accuracy on the bag with a peak velocity of 74 MPH.  

Sanchez stands in at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds with a strong athletic frame. Ran a 4.62 home to first. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the back above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quiet stride forward while his hands move back slightly into the hitting position. Good lower body rotation getting lower half involved, but would be more aggressive with his rotation to get more torque in the swing. Shows quick hands to the zone with a level bat path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice round. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 MPH, a 5 MPH improvement from September 2016. Defensively- Frames well keep the body and glove quiet. Good mechanics on throws to second. Stays low to the ground with a short and quick arm swing. Blocks well keeping the ball in front and is athletic to get back up quickly to make the play. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 76 MPH with a pop time range of 1.96-2.02. Overall a solid catching prospect in the 2019 grad class that coaches should keep an eye on.

Athletically gifted 5-foot-11, 185-pound backstop with a solid catcher’s build, ran a 7.03/60. Offensively - effective load, short to the ball, full extension after contact with an exit velocity of 85 MPH, keeps bat on level path with a repeatable motion, drives the ball to middle third of the field, makes consistent barrel contact, using counter rotation between upper and lower torso will add to his power. Defensively - fundamentally sound with smooth and fluid motions, arm velocity of 70 MPH is up 5 MPH from last fall, accurate arm with a POP time of 2.0-2.03, exciting potential.

Sanchez stands in at 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.03 – 60. Offensively- Sets up with a wide stance square to the pitcher. Slight knee bend with an upright torso. Hands held just above the back shoulder with slight pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch is trigger is a toe tap with his front foot before placing foot on the ground. His hands move back slightly into a good hitting position. Quick hands to the hitting zone with proper bat action throughout the swing into a high two handed finish. Aggressive lower body rotation getting whole frame into swing. Swing is simple and fluid line drive results with some back spin. Stays through middle of the field. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH. Defensively- Very athletic and quick behind the plate. Quick transfer with throws and a proper arm swing for a catcher. Throws downhill towards target and is accurate. Recorded a catcher’s pop time of 2.0 with an arm velocity of 70 MPH. Frames well keeping body quiet and good mechanics while blocking.
