2016 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania

2/12/17 6-foot-2, 185-pound St. John's commit continues to add to his already mature, athletic frame. Right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. Showed balanced, fluid swing with ability to impart backspin and a bat exit velocity of 92 mph. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash and flashed a soft glove hand, active feet and the ability to play through the baseball defensively with accurate 82 mph arm strength across the diamond.

8/4/16 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter swung the bat as well as any player on the roster barreling baseballs routinely while registering two hits and a walk. Flashed an impressive across the board skill set on evaluation day with a 92 mph bat exit velocity while running a 7.06 60-yard dash. Third baseman made every routine play over the span of three games and tossed in a couple of backhand gems with solid carry on throws from behind the bag to put an exclamation point on his defensive performance. Announced his commitment to St. John's shortly after the event.

6/15/16 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Balanced, fluid swing with loose hands leads to a bat exit velocity of 92 mph. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash and flashed above average defensive skills with the ability to play through the baseball at 3B. Also flashed a soft glove hand with accurate 83 mph arm strength across the diamond.

2/14/16 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash (has been 7.11 previously) and posted a 94-mph exit velocity. Hits from a square stance with short lift-and-replace stride. Continues to showcase a balanced, easy, repeatable swing in which his hands work. Quality defensive skills as well, with good hands, a feel for getting the right hop, good footwork through the catch, and accurate 82-mph arm strength.

11/7/15 Wright posted his best across-the-board measureables at an event this year (7.11 60-yard dash, 93-mph exit velocity, 81-mph arm strength). The right-handed hitter has an easy, simple stroke with minimal head and body movement, his hands work through contact, and he hits against his front side. Appears to have raised his launch point, allowing him to stay shorter into the zone and create more consistent backspin. Defensively, he exhibits good feet and hands and the ability to make plays on the move.

6/17/15 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed hitter. Started from a slightly open stance and took a near-waist-high leg kick to square. Short, easy stroke, hands worked, stayed balanced in BP and carried that over into game action. Really intriguing offensive upside. Posted a 4.58 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 89-mph exit velocity and 78-mph arm (a few ticks down from previously seen). Defensively, he exhibited solid actions with good feet and played below the baseball very well.
6/17/15 Medium-framed (6-foot-1, 170-pounds) primary position player. Pitched out of a three-quarter slot with low elbow. Hip coil over rubber coupled with short arm action appeared to create some deception. Fastball at 78-80 had late run or sink, while he also featured a curveball at 68-70 with three-quarter break. Exhibited quick feet on pickoff attempts.
2/15/15 6-foot-1,170-pound athletic build that shows advanced skills for his age. From the infield he shows good range, clean exchange and enough arm strength to play third base. Threw from a short-¾ slot with 81 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses a big leg kick to load with a short, compact swing with good bat speed for his age. Registered a top exit velocity of an impressive 90 mph and ran a 7.28-60.

11/16/13 Wright is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect that shined on offense. The right-handed hitter displayed good balance throughout his swing and the ability to make consistent hard contact. He hits from a square stance and gets to extension regularly with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. The 8th grader showed capable actions defensively with throws of 69 mph across the diamond from 3B.
