Cassady has a tall athletic frame with some projection left to it. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, long free arm action, normal armspeed and normal effort. Shoulders are uphill and online, lands on line and falls off as he finishes. Fastball was 79-82 with heavy 11/5 cutting action. Curveball was 73-76 with good armspeed and tight late 11/5 break. Change-up was 72-73 with some fade. Only threw a couple of change-ups to righties. Fastball and curveball have similar action. Throws strikes with all three pitches, could benefit from adding a two-seamer, the natural cut on his fastball is good but he needs something that he can run in on a lefty or to just attack the inside more. Has some velocity upside as he continues to strengthen a tall frame.
