TOP PLAYERS

Andy Okuley, 2B, 2015 ...  Hit .301 BA, .435 OBP last season. A real strong leader in the middle infielder who should provide a nice spark for an inexperienced team.
Nick Lankard, 3B, 2015 ... Hit .282 BA least season. Excellent defensive third baseman who is a fierce competitor; 3 sport athlete at SFS.
Alex David, 1B, 2015 ...
Should provide some offensive punch and be a front of the rotation pitcher. Big upside, one to watch.
Brady Ansara, C, 2015 ...
Solid defensive catcher with potential to a be an offensive weapon near the top of the order.
Jacob Lang, RHP, 2015 ...
The righty was a set up guy for St. Francis late in the year and will be looking for him to become a top starter for us this season.

YOUNG UP AND COMERS

Jay Denman, UTIL, 2016 ...  Jay is an extremely talented athlete who plays travel hockey and has a huge upside in baseball. St. Francis is looking for him to fill one of the several "holes" they need to fill.

OUTLOOK:

Coach Tim Gerken has a 123-58 record at St. Francis and the Knights are coming off a very impressive 29-3 season which included a 26 game win streak. Heading into the 2014 season, the Knights are needing to replace 12 seniors from graduation and will look to do so with a talented junior class led by Alex David, Andy Okuley, Jacob Lang, Nick Lankard and Brady Ansara. Sophomore Jay Denman looks to fill one of the several holes for St. Francis. Being apart of the TRAC, one of only a few leagues that has a league tournament at the end of the season (which usually runs concurrently with the OHSAA state tournament), it becomes a real juggling act with pitching as the league tournament is as big as the state tournament.
