OUTLOOK
The Indians experience will be a big advantage this spring. They return (8) position players and (2) pitchers for the 2014 team. This experience will be needed in the tough SEMO Conference, which boasts (3) D1 committed starting pitchers. Jackson will look for offense from Landon Mills who hit .344 with 2 homeruns, 8 doubles, and 6 triples in 104 plate appearances last season. Ryan Harvey also led the team with 21 stolen bases. Michael Houchin and Tyler Slinkard will anchor the pitching staff. Houchin led the team with 54 strikeouts last season. It will be no surprise if Jackson contends for the SEMO title and makes some noise in this year’s post season.
