TOP PLAYERS (Coach’s Comments)

Griffin McLarty, 2016, L/R, 6'2" - McLarty had a strong sophomore campaign being one of the leaders of the pitching staff.  Also as a middle of the lineup hitter, he will be counted on to provide leadership in both of those areas. (Profile and Video on PBR site)

Jaxon Lashley, 2016, R/R, 6'1" - Lashley had an outstanding sophomore year at the plate being one of the team's best all-around hitters.  Behind the plate, he has drastically improved his game.  He is looked at by others on the team as a strong leader and he will be counted on to help guide this team on and off the field.

Brennan Byrd, 2016, R/R, 5'10" - Byrd had a tremendous sophomore year on the mound for the Colonels in 2014.  He was also a big contributor at the plate and on the bases.  A very talented all-around player that has the potential to do some big things this year.

Jacob Bates, 2016, R/R, 6'6" - Bates had a strong sophomore year both at the plate and in the field for the Colonels in 2014.  As he continues to grow into his big frame, Bates has the potential to be a main factor in the Colonels' success this season. (Profile and Video on PBR site)

Notable Losses

Austin Norman, RHP, Co-District Player of the Year, Indiana University Southeast

According to the Coach

Oldham County will have a junior-heavy team this year, with 4 of them being returning starters from last season's varsity team.  The seniors will provide great leadership as this group has strong potential to make a postseason run.  This team should be very competitive in their district and region this year.
