Season Outlook
Poly this year is led by a strong core of senior players led by OF Ben Garlow who hit .342 and was 15-for-16 in stolen base attempts. Other key returners on offense this year include 2B Thomas Heck (.333 BA) and C Max Yuhas (.263 BA). Poly will have to find new players to pick up for the loss of city Player of the Year Marquis Coleman (.467 BA, 23 SB). Team speed will be a power for the team as Poly stole 117 bases in 126 attempts last season and look to continue that trend this season with Garlow and Dominic Rheubottom (26 SB).

Pitching will be a key for Poly heading into the season after losing staff ace Coleman. Rheubottom will move into the ace role after being the No. 2 in the rotation with 33 IP and 3.54 ERA. Heck could possibly come into a bigger role on the mound this season after getting 14 IP last year.  Defense will also play a major role for the team???s success. Last year they fielded .850 as a team and if that can improve, it could translate into a longer post-season run. Coach Goodwin has stated that this season team focus will gear toward better team defense. Look for Poly to improve upon last year with a experienced roster in 2016 despite the loss of Coleman.
