2021 Florida Spring Training

Players and Parents,

We’re writing this message to keep you informed on the details surrounding our 2021 Florida Spring Training event.

When we began this showcase week back in Spring 2019, we wanted to run a Canadian-centric Spring Training experience that players in the province could look back on. We ran it in year one, and it was an overwhelming success from all perspectives and obviously a year later, our 2020 Spring Training event was halted due to COVID-19.

In 2021, we’re happy to announce that in conjunction with PBR Florida, we will be headed back to Orlando for our Florida Spring Training. Here are some details surrounding our decision to run the week as planned.

The honest truth is we don’t know what things will look like this Spring. We’ve spoken to officials, coaches, players and parents who have been to Florida in the past few months, and it’s baseball as scheduled. 

Under no circumstance would we ever put your players in jeopardy, or in harm’s way. Last year, with an increased number of teams, we used four diamonds on-site, and three off-site. This coming year, we’ll have eight diamonds in the same complex, on-site, with options to go off-site as needed.

From a safety protocol, we will be operating under the guidance of our PBR Staff in Florida as well as following the recommendations of the CDC and the Government of Canada. We will do everything in our power to ensure your players are in a safe environment.
