The Georgia Scout Blog will be a weekly blog with reports and videos from the players and teams that we go out to cover each week. The blog will remain for the length of the week with notes being added the day following from each game. At the end of the week we will update the POWER 25 and CLASSIFICATION RANKINGS, then at the beginning of the following week we will announce 2 Player of the Week awards, along with our Diamond Notes, which is a culminaton of all players that were not selected for player of the week. Note: Player of the Week submissions are sent in by high school coaches.

Playoffs: Round 2

Chase Fralick, C, 2024, McIntosh
Just a standout night from one of the top 10 players in the state for 2024. It started on the mound for the Auburn commit where he dazzled across 6.2 scoreless innings against a strong lineup in Coffee. Fastball was up to 89 with a quality mid-70s slider as well, and did a really good job limiting hard contact while filling up the zone throughout the outing. At the plate, Fralick continues to show the above-average hit tool with a couple of loud doubles to RF. Stays extremely simple in his approach, getting the front foot down quickly with an efficient path to the baseball and pinpoint accuracy in the barrel. The plus raw power shows consistently in BP, and has a real chance for above-average in-game juice at the next level. One of the more complete batted ball profiles in the class.

Connor Shouse, SS, 2024, Pickens
One of the top two-way players in Georgia’s 2024 class had the bat working in a pivotal game for Pickens. There's easy bat speed for the Georgia Tech commit who does an excellent job of staying compact backed by accuracy in the barrel. Picked up hard-hit barrels for hit in all three at-bats including a pair of doubles to CF and LCF gap. Shouse continues to be SP1 for the Dragons but the bat will be massive as they make their way into the Elite 8 and potentially further.
