Prep Baseball Report Arkansas has combed through the rankings for the Senior class that has seen 77 commitments so far in the 150 player list.  Of those 77 committed players, 30 have committed to Division 1 schools and 22 staying in state.  Today we take a look at the top three ranked players as well as some rankings risers and the State's top uncommitted players.  The full 2022 updated rankings can be found by clicking here.

TOP 3 RANKED SENIORS

Cooper Dossett RHP / OF / Har-Ber, AR / 2022

Dossett remains number one in the rankings after a strong performance at this year's Super 60 where the fastball peaked at 93 mph and had the highest HOP+ score at the event by far making the fastball play up very quickly on hitters as well as the third highest RISE+ score.  This Spring Dossett will take the ball as the ace of the staff for #1 ranked Har-Ber high school before heading to the University of Arkansas next fall.

Easton Swofford SS / OF / Southside Bee Branch, AR / 2022

The Razorback commit had a strong showing at the Super 60 back in February and remains the second ranked player in the state.  Swofford has smooth actions in the infield with a strong enough arm to remain on the left side of the infield to go along with a nice left-handed stroke with a good lower half.

Austin Gage Wood RHP / 3B / Batesville, AR / 2022

The physical right-hander takes up the third spot in the 2022 rankings and 242nd overall in the country.  Austin features a fastball working in the low 90's with explosive hand speed and has a power curveball with a 2518 spin rate.  Austin will play the role of the ace of staff for Batesville this Spring before heading to the University of Arkansas next fall.

TOP 2022 RISERS

JOSH HYNEMAN

RHP / 1B / JONESBORO, AR / 2022

Hyneman moves up to number 10 in the rankings update as a physical right-hander that works the fastball up to 92 as well as showing some serious pop with the bat.  The Arkansas commit has worked on his body and frame as one of the more physical looking players in the state and should play a large role on both sides of the ball for Jonesboro this Spring.

KADE RUFFNER

RHP / BRYANT, AR / 2022

Projectable RHP that has burst on the scene. Lots to like in the projectable frame with a clean and easy arm stroke. A sneaky good arm that will be a name to remember as he continues his career.

TY RHOADES

C / 3B / JONESBORO, AR / 2022

Rhoades continues to make strides with the bat after a recent look at him at the PBR Jamboree and moving up to number 18 in the rankings.  Rhoades shows a quality approach at the plate from the left side and showing more power with good hand strength.  He's also showing improving catch and throw skills from behind the plate as well as a very adequate receiver and blocker.

TOP UNCOMMMITTED SENIORS

RYKAR ACEBO

RHP / SS / JONESBORO, AR / 2022

Acebo remains one of the top uncommitted Seniors in Arkansas as a projectable two-way player for Jonesboro.  Acebo has a long and lean frame at 6-foot-4 and 180-pounds and hits with good leverage from the right side as well as a mid 80's fastball with feel for a low 70's curveball and mid 70's changeup.  Acebo checks a lot of boxes for the next level as far as tools and the early production so far this Spring.

GRANT HODGE

RHP / 1B / CATHOLIC, AR / 2022

Physical build two way guy that can pitch and has big power. Hodge will continue to eat innings this spring and be a middle of the order bat. Legitimate high school two way player.

CALEB TAYLOR

SS / C / WHITE HALL, AR / 2022

Athletic with twitch and a big part of the white hall order. Checks a lot of boxes including athleticism with raw power and a big arm to go with it. Freedom of multiple positions makes Taylor a nice fit at the next level.
