The Road to the California State Games begins with the 2022 California high school baseball season. With the season just around the corner, our Staff has begun putting out team previews from all around the state getting you prepare for another year of exciting coverage.

Today we focus on the MLK Wolves who are coming off a 24-win season and bring back 5 starters and 4 D1 commits. They return an experienced staff but they will need some of their younger players to step up with the bat.

Team Expectations

In ‘22 we expect to compete well locally within the City of Riverside, battle for a Big VIII playoff spot and ultimately a CIF-SS title. 

Team Strengths

Pitching. We should be solid on the mound again in ‘22. Return some depth from ‘21. 

Areas of Improvement

Offense. We graduated some big bats and pop in ‘21. We need some young guys to step up offensively in ‘22.
