WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Expectations for Team - High expectations for Glenn this season as they return a majority of their at-bats and innings from a state tournament team in 2023. Offensively they will have different ways to score and may need them to get through the always tough CPC 4A.

From the Coach, Expected Team Strength
Team strengths will be offense and defense.  The defense was just a couple of errors away from setting the school record in 2023 for team fielding percentage.  With so many returning players, we feel that school record could be in jeopardy in 2024.  Offensively, the deepest and fastest lineup we have had in several years. We return six players who hit over .300 in 2023 & return our top two RBI leaders from 2023 (Shoemaker, Gora) and 3 out of the top 4 (Winters). The lineup and team success offensively will be driven by the catalysts of Craig McGhee and Brayden Winters at the top of the order. They come off strong 2023 campaigns and in position to have big seasons for the Bobcats in 2024.

THOUGHTS ON THE CONFERENCE:

The CPC 4A is arguably the toughest baseball conference in the state of NC.  Reagan will enter as the preseason favorite for the conference and expected to make a deep run within the playoffs. West Forsyth and Glenn appear to be the the other viable teams able to push Reagan within the league.  The conference put 5 teams in the 4A playoffs in 2023 (East Forsyth, Reagan, West Forsyth, Davie, and Glenn) and would expect at least that many again in 2024.
