2026 Class Rankings Update: Summer Edition
September 5, 2023
As the 2026 class heads into their Sophomore campaigns after a busy summer we update the rankings for the Sooner State with an expanded list to 100 players. The rankings will continue to see movement over the next couple of years as prospects start to mature and add strength as well as us finding more players as their high school careers continue. The 2026 class has already shown itself to have incredible depth with high level power arms and flooded with exciting hitters and advanced defenders. The strength in this class is the amount of players that saw prominent roles on their respective high school teams through the 2023 season giving them an early look at the varsity level and picking up some very valuable experience. Today we break down the Top 10 as well as looks at 5 rankings risers and the top newcomers to the list.

Eli Willits SS / 2B / Fort-Cobb Broxton, OK / 2026The top of the class is still held by the talented switch hitter from Fort Cobb after an impressive freshman campaign and big summer. The OU commit has all the necessary tools to be considered amongst the top players in the country and he backs that up with high levels of in game production. Willits has some of the best defensive actions in the state regardless of class and his ability to handle high level pitching from both sides of the plate makes him the clear number 1 player and must-watch prospect in the class.

Easton Webb RHP / RHP / Charles Page, OK / 2026Webb sees a jump in the rankings to the number 2 spot after showing himself fully capable of handling starting duties on the bump as a freshman and having one of the cleanest power arm actions in the class. Webb continues to make big jumps working the fastball in the low 90's and pairing it nicely with a well-shaped breaking ball that he can land in the zone and work in the chase zone. The OSU commit splits his time between the mound and as QB1 for Sand Springs and will continue to build off his athleticism to make him an intriguing prospect to follow for the future.

HUNTER WATSON C / 3B / Tuttle, OK / 2026Watson checks in at number 3 in this update after a big summer especially on the mound. Watson showed steady increases in his velocity throughout the summer working the fastball into the low 90'with his clean arm action with ball jumping out of the hand. He also shows feel for the slider in the mid to upper 70's that has true swing and miss action as well as a plus changeup with strong fading action. The OU commit has been a well-known commodity for a couple of years but is still showing jumps in his stuff and should continue to see his stock rise in the coming years.

Hudson Morgan SS / RHP / Marlow, OK / 2026Morgan checks in at number 4 in this update as one of the more physical bats in the class with advanced hand strength at the plate. The OSU commit has strong bat speed and sequences up the lower half and hands well giving him a strong power-hitting projection for the future. On the mound, Morgan works the fastball in the upper 80's with an athletic delivery and a strong sweeping slider in the mid 70's that can miss bats. Morgan has strong 2-way potential and he's only starting to scratch the surface of his game.

Cooper Kardokus SS / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026Kardokus remains at number 5 in this update after a strong showing as the only freshman on this year's Team Oklahoma Future Games squad where he more than held his own. The switch-hitting infielder looked very comfortable in the box and picked up multiple hits throughout the week while showing strong defensive actions. What makes Kardokus special is his ability to handle all facets of the game at a high level and playing with a high baseball IQ. The advanced bat to ball skills from both sides of the plate are the carrying tool for Cooper and his ability to standout in live game action makes him a must-follow prospect for schools at the next level.

Ritson Meyer OF / SS / Elgin, OK / 2026Meyer remains number 6 on this list after a strong freshman campaign for Elgin and showing strong production in games when we saw him this summer. The physical/athletic outfielder has some of the best power in the class with the ball jumping off the barrel from the right side and with his above average speed makes him an future middle of the order type bat at the next level. Standing at 6-foot and 195-pounds, Meyer covers a ton of ground in the outfield and plays the game with a high level of confidence and swagger that is easy to see from the other side of the fence.

Savion Sims RHP / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 2
Sims sees a slight jump in the rankings from number 9 to number 7 in this update after showing more promise on the mound. The OU commit is already working the fastball in the upper 80's and into the low 90's with an incredibly whippy arm action that from his long and lean frame should continue to see jumps in the future. Sims showed more strike throwing ability throughout the summer and has a chance to be one of the top risers in the class if he continues to make the type of progress he's made in the past year.

EASTON ROBY SS / RHP / Okarche, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 4
Roby is the top newcomer to the rankings settling in for his debut at number 8 on the list. The Okarche MIF/RHP caught our attention at the Sooner State Games where he put on a show with the bat and then followed it up with strong looks at both the OKC Open and when we caught him at Creekside in Kansas City. The left-handed hitter has excellent bat to ball skills and shows the ability to drive the ball to both gaps presently and should continue to see more power in the future with added strength. Defensively, he has smooth actions that could play anywhere in the infield and even shows some upside on the mound working the fastball in the low to mid 80's.

Cord Nolan OF / C / Bixby , OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Nolan checks in at number 9 in this rankings update as one of the more physically gifted athletes in the class. The switch-hitting utility man splits his time between the gridiron and the diamond throughout the school year showing his athleticism in playing a part in helping Bixby to State Titles in both sports in his freshman campaign. While playing time in the spring was harder to come by thanks to the talent of the Bixby roster, look for Nolan to take on a more prominent role for the Spartans as one a potential middle of the order bat.

Jackson Turney 1B / LHP / Sand Springs, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 1
Turney remains at number 10 in the rankings after proving himself as one of the better overall hitters in the class handling middle of the order duties as a freshman for the Sandites. The left-handed hitting first baseman has shown the ability to handle high-end pitching and already showing flashes of potential plus power. Recent reports have come in that Turney has started to make progress on leaning up the body which should continue to increase the athleticism. With a leaner build and his ability to handle the bat, look for Turney to continue to be a problem for opposing pitchers as arguably the top left-handed hitting power threat in the state.

MASON THORNTON OF / UTILITY / Elgin, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 3
Thornton sees a slight rise in the rankings to number 17 in the update after showing strong tools at the OKC Open back in July but more importantly after some strong performances at the plate when we got eyes on him this summer in games. The Elgin product uses his short and compact stroke with quick hands to shoot balls all over the field with a line drive approach and could quite possibly end up as one of the top defending outfielders we've covered in some time in Oklahoma. Thornton has advanced ball-tracking skills and enough arm strength that would allow him to play at all three spots in the OF in the future.

Eddie Fish SS / Yukon, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 8
Fish see's his stock rise from 49th to 25th overall in the state in this update as he continues to show big jumps in his game in a short period of time. The right-handed hitting shortstop has one of the smoother strokes in the class with some sneaky pop thinks to getting the most out of his leverage at a projectable 5-foot-11 and 165-pounds. Defensively he has active feet and smooth actions with the type of bounce in his feet that coaches at the next level are always looking for in guys manning the 6-hole. Fish is already showing high level skills and the tools should continue to make jumps in the future as he adds strength.

Laird Williams RHP / 1B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 4
Williams has had a bit of a bumpy road in the past couple of months that kept him sidelined with a lower body injury. Williams returned to the mound at the end of the summer and showed big jumps in not only his velocity, but also in his delivery where he has really cleaned up the movements from where he was in the past. Already working the fastball in to the mid 80's, Williams has the potential to be one of the better power arms with his already physical 6-foot-6 and 250-pound frame.

Whit Thomas SS / 3B / Heritage Hall, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 29 / POS: 9
Thomas sees a rise in the rankings from number 37 to 29th on the list as another prospect that had a strong showing the Top Prospect Underclass Games in June and in when we saw him compete in games throughout the summer. The 6-foot-2 and 165-pound infielder is starting to tap into his natural leverage at the plate and learning how to manipulate his longer levers to get the barrel to the ball. We saw him handle high-end pitching this summer picking up multiple hits and he continues to show big progress defensively. Even with his height, Thomas is able to play underneath the ball well and shows the type of glove action and footwork that's necessary to stay on the left side of the infield in the future.

Parker Hayes LHP / 1B / Mount St. Mary Catholic, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 30 / POS: 4
Hayes sees a big jump in the rankings update moving up 18 spots to number 30 on the list. Clearly one of the more projectable arms in the class standing at a lean 6-foot-6 and 165-pounds, the left-hander is starting to scratch the surface of what he might ultimately be capable of in the future. The fastball currently sits in the low 80's, but Hayes is able to attack hitters with a loose low 3/4 arm slot and feel for both a change up and curveball that he used all summer to rack up a ton of outs. When you match his size, hand speed, and pitchability it makes for a very intriguing prospect to follow in the future.

Jake Beutler LHP / OF / Canute, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 1
The OF/LHP from Canute debuts to the rankings at the number 12 spot after we caught him in action earlier this summer at Creekside in Kansas City. Beutler plays with a high energy on both sides of the ball and has a quick twitch swing that will show some sneaky pull side power at times. Defensively, he shows excellent range and plays with a high level of aggressiveness that allows him to cover even more ground than those who are just as fast as him. On the mound, the left-hander is already working the fastball in the mid 80's, and while slightly behind where he is with the bat, shows a good amount of potential making him an intriguing 2-way prospect to keep an eye on in the future.

TYLER FRAZIER RHP / C / Newcastle, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 3
Frazier debuts on the list at number 18 after we got eyes on him at the OKC Open and again in an impressive performance against one of the better summer programs in the Midwest. Frazier works the fastball in the mid 80's and does an excellent job of working both sides of the plate while also pounding the bottom of the zone. He mixes the fastball with an advanced changeup with depth and feel for spinning the curveball that has the type of action that easily gets off the barrel. He also shows some upside on the other side of the ball with using his arm strength from behind the plate to work showcase pop times as low as 1.90 and showing some physicality with the bat working exit velocities up to 90.5 mph.

Elijah Williams LHP / OF / Community Christian, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 3
Williams was one of the top standouts back in June at the Top Prospect Underclass games landing him at number 19 in his rankings debut. The left-hander has one of the quicker arms in the class that allowed him to work the fastball up to 84 mph with heavy arm side run and showed the makings of a potential swing and miss slider. Even standing at an under-sized 5-foot-9 and 135-pounds, Williams has the type of athleticism on the mound that should continue to see big jumps in the future as he continues to grow and add strength.

William Grayson Jr SS / RHP / Mount Saint Mary Catholic, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 37 / POS: 13
Grayson JR impressed at the Top Prospect Underclass Games back in June showing high upside on both sides of the ball earning his debut at number 37 in this update. On the mound, Grayson JR showed a smooth delivery with a tough over the top arm slot that creates a ton of tilting action in the 81-83 mph range while pairing it with two well-shaped breaking balls with feel for spin. At the plate he has a strong rotational swing with some lift and potential for pull-side pop. The feet move well in the infield and plays underneath the ball well from his 6-foot-2 and 166-pound build making him an interesting follow in the future.

Blake Whittington OF / 2B / Jenks, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 38 / POS: 8
Whitting checks in at number 38 in his debut after he showed his strong athleticism at the WBO Tulsa Prospects Scout Day. The Jenks utility man started the day with a laser timed 6.75 before an impressive round of BP that saw him work exit velocities up to 89 mph. The athleticism carries over well into the swing with strong use of the lower half and good sequencing throughout the movement. Whittington's raw athletic game should continue to see big jumps as he gains more experience in the near future.
