JUCO Uncommitted Spotlights: Highland CC

With NJCAA postseason play well underway, we take a look at a handful of name-to-know uncommitted players from Highland Community College.

Dylan Shepherd

Sophomore C Dylan Shepherd is a strong bat and defender behind the plate for the Scotties. Shepherd first caught our eye at the JUCO Scout Day last September, putting together a loud round of BP, reaching exit velocities upwards of 100.9 mph while averaging 94.6 mph. The lefty produced effortless pop, sending his best ball 398 feet and averaging 325 feet, consistently evevating balls pullside. Behind the plate, Shepherd posted 1.89-1.95 pop times. This spring, Shepherd wrapped up his sophomore campaign hitting .347 over 121 at bats, posting 7 doubles and 9 home runs.
