Prep Baseball Report has officially updated their class rankings over the span of three weeks, updating the Class of 2024, 2025 and 2026 in their respective states. Our staff will now conduct a deep dive into the rankings and highlight key uncommitted players in each class. 

Today, we take a look into the MD/DE Class of 2026 and dive into a highly versatile and athletic bat in Matt Strahan (Magruder) that climbs inside the Top 25 of our 2026 Rankings. The athleticism continues to impress, showcasing speed and quick twitch that impacts the game on both sides of the ball, coupled with defensive versatility that opens a plethora of opportunities throughout the recruitment process. The hit tool continues to develop, utilizing quick hands with occasional explosiveness through contact that produces line drives to the middle of the field. The ability to spray to all fields is consistent, and as strength continues to develop, look for singles to turn into extra base hits. Defensively, the arm strength is still developing, however a quick first step and reaction time certainly makes up for it for now. Strahan has the makeup to be one of the top players in the class and should continue to climb through the class as actions clean up and the frame fills out.
