After several days in hotels, multiple bus rides, up I-55, two-changes of venues the 4A State Tournament resumed Tuesday, May, 19 at the University of Central Arkansas. Here is a recap of what happened.

Brookland High School 3 vs Ashdown High School 2 (Quarter-Finals)

Brookland HS beat Ashdown 3-2 behind good defense and a big day from 2015 RHP Alex Cole. Cole pitched a good game and had an RBI single in the 3^rd with 2 outs. Ashdown received a good day from 2018 C Alex Day who went 4-4 with an RBI. Brookland advances to play Star City in the Semi-Finals.

Shiloh Christian High School 9 vs Hamburg High School (Quarter-Finals)

Shiloh Christian battled back from an 8-2 deficit to defeat Hamburg 9-8. 2015 RHP Kord Offenbacker came in relief in the 4^th inning and put the clamps on a Hamburg offense. In the 6^th Shiloh Christian scored 7 runs highlighted by a triple by 2016 MIF Luke Bandy who scored on an over throw to score the final run. Shiloh advances to play Arkadelphia HS.

Star City High School 10 vs Brookland High School 0 (Semi-Final)

Star City HS defeated Brookland HS 10-0 in 5 innings to advance to the State Finals.  2016 RHP Blake Wynn threw a complete game allowing 3 hits and striking out 3 over 5 innings of work. Brookland helped out Star City committing 7 errors. Offensively 2016 C Austin Powell had 3 hits and an RBI to lead the Bulldogs.

Arkadelphia High School 5 vs Shiloh Christian High School 3

Arkadelphia HS beat Shiloh Christian 5 to 3 behind a strong pitching performance by 2016 RHP/INF Ty Koster, 6 innings pitched in relief with allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 7. Shiloh competed hard leading 3-0 after 4 innings. In the 5^th Arkadelphia scored 2 runs, sparked by 2016 C Danny Jo Spradlin’s leadoff single. The Badgers scored 3 in the 6^th, highlighted by 2015 MIF Clay Wilson 3-run Homerun to make the score 5-3. Arkadelphia advances to the finals against Star City HS, to try to complete the 3-peat.
