With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers

Team Name: Chardon Hilltoppers 
Head Coach: Brian Long
Division: II
2018 Record: 20-10
Conference Record: Western Reserve Conference, 8-6 (4th)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/4

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "We should be contending for a league title this year, but our main focus is to make a tournament run starting with the D2 Jefferson District. Last year we reached the Regional Semis and we are hungry to get back to Regionals."

PBR Outlook: After a run to the regionals in 2018, coach Brian Long and the Hilltoppers ready to get back and top that in 2019.
