Draft League Spotlight: Dusty Stroup

Mike Rosenbaum
Senior Prospect Analyst

Player: Dusty Stroup
Position: 3B

School: Central Missouri

A gifted athlete standing 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, Stroup has the range to play multiple positions. He currently finds his home at third base due to his quick reactions and the decisions he makes on balls in play. His arm is one of his greatest assets with the ability to throw it across the infield from any angle with good carry. Stroup also runs a 6.8 sixty and is an imposing threat at the plate. He maintains his approach and can adjust on the fly. In 2020, Stroup posted a .453 batting average over the 22 games during the shortened season. He also managed to stroke 12 doubles and ten home runs while driving in 24 runs over those same 22 games.
