Garden State Baseball Underclass Games Top Position Players

Here is a list of the top position players from Diamond Nation's Garden State Baseball Underclass Games.

Top Uncommitted position players
+ Holy Spirit's 2018 C Matt Rivera was arguably the top uncommitted prospect at the event. Rivera is solidly built 6-foot-2 190-pounds and throws to 2B had velocity and carry. 1.90 pop time (during infield/outfield).

+ Ridgewood's 2017 OF Andrew Eng had one of the better batting practices of the event. The lefty swinger has quick hands and a smooth hand load, starting off in a wide stance.

+Red Bank Catholic's 2017 C Brian Sheehy is an interesting prospect. Didn't get a whole lot of playing time for the Caseys this year because of senior catcher Doug Facendo (Howard CC) in front of him, but nonetheless surprised many with his size (6-5, 205-pounds) and athleticism behind the plate.

+ Pope John's 2017 3B Justin Provost hit a towering home run to left field, and showed some pop in later at bats as well. Showed great bat speed and smooth hands at the dish.

+ Toms River North's 2017 SS Mike Nyisztor is another interesting prospect. Lanky frame (6-3, 170-pounds) and room for muscle, but has an aggressive swing and doesn't get cheated. Make a few loud outs with good barrel awareness. Able to catch up to velocity.

+ Hamilton West's 2017 C Kyle Harrington is 6-foot-3 205-pounds and physically built and athletic. Threw two guys out in one inning, including the speedy Virginia commit Andrew Papantonis trying to steal third.

+ Immaculata's 2017 3B Nick Egnatuk (Pittsburgh commit) also hit a towering home run to left field. Very athletic in the field, has a strong enough are to get carry from a deep back hand at third base. Good looking prospect.

+ Bergen Catholic's C/2B David LaManna (Notre Dame commit) showed everyone why he is one of the better all around baseball players and athletes in the 2017 class. Recorded a 1.94 pop time (during infield/outfield) and hit a ground rule double.

+ Seneca's 2018 OF Nick Decker (Maryland commit) put on a show during BP. Showcased his raw power with several balls over the fence, and showed that he doesn't get too big in his swing with this hard hit single up the middle:
