Indiana Recruiting Notebook

Many players from across the state have picked their schools over the last month. Here is a look at who's going where.

2016's 

Robbie Strader, INF, Roncalli HS: The 6-foot, 180 pound senior has committed to Ohio Dominican.  At the Top Prospect Games last June he ran a 7.08-60.  Across the diamond has been up to 82 mph and has also registered a high exit velocity of 86 mph.

Devan Franz, OF, Booneville HS: The senior outfielder has committed to Vincennes. Franz displays fluid actions in the field and runs a sub-7 60.  

Reid Werner, RHP, Greenwood HS: A 6-foot-3, 175 pound senior right-hander, Werner is committed to Indianapolis.  At the Top Prospect Games in June he was up to 84 with his fastball.  

Noah Freimuth, RHP, Bishop Dwenger HS: The 6-foot-5, 205 pound senior has committed to Purdue.  His fastball has been up to 86 mph and possesses quick arm speed.  

Kenton Crews, OF, Heritage Hills HS: Crews is an athletic 6-foot, 160 pound outfielder that is committed to Evansville.  At the Area Code tryout this summer he ran a 6.60-60.  

Joey Drury, SS, Center Grove HS: The 5-foot-11, 178 pound senior SS has committed to Olney Central.  Drury is a solid defender with soft hands up the middle. 

Brandon Vermillion,INF, Daleville HS: The senior left-handed hitting infielder recently committed to Anderson.  

Tyler Lucas, LHP/1B, Roncalli HS: The senior was a member of Team Indiana at the 2014 Future Games and has committed to play at the University of Indianapolis.

Treavor Floor, SS, Wabash HS: A 5-foot-10, 170 pound senior nfielder recently picked Indiana Wesleyan.  Floor ran a 7.10-60 at an event last winter and recorded a high exit velocity of 91 mph.  

Tucker Waddups, RHP, Pioneer HS
: The 6-foot-2 senior RHP has committed to Anderson University.  Waddups possesses good pitchability with a fastball up to 83 this spring.  

Chance Hitchcock, RHP, Martinsville HS: The senior righty has committed to play at Vincennes University. 
 
Jake Hurd, OF, Zionsville HS: A 6-foot, 175 pound senior OF, Hurd has committed to Taylor University.  At the Top Prospect Games last June he ran a 6.78-60 and was 85 from the OF.  
 
Trevor Ricker,  SS, Evansville Reitz HS: The 5-foot-11 MIF has committed to play at Southern Indiana.

Dalton O'Boyle, RHP, Bishop Dwenger HS: The 6-foot-3 senior RHP has committed to IPFW.  

Mike Snyder, SS, Northrop HS: The 6-foot-3, 195 pound senior infielder has committed to IPFW.

Alec Bryan, OF, Franklin Central HS: The 5-foot-10, 160 pound senior has committed to Earlham.  At the Top Prospect Games in June he ran a 6.64-60, was 83 from the OF and recorded a high exit velocity of 87 mph.  


2017's

Daylan Nanny, 1B, Plainfield HS: A Junior left-handed hitting 1B, Nanny has picked Evansville.  Nanny possesses good rhythm with the ability to regularly get to extension at the plate.     

Tommy Sommer, LHP, Carmel HS: The 6-foot-4 Junior southpaw has committed to Indiana. A member of Team Indiana at this year's Future Games, Sommer was one of the most sought after left-handed arms in the PBR coverage area.


Tanner Craig, 3B, Austin HS
: A 6-foot, 195 pound Junior 3B and member of Team Indiana at this year's Future Games has committed to Evansville.  Craig possesses quick bat speed from the right side of the plate and has recorded a high exit velocity of 94 mph.  

2018's

Braydon Tucker, RHP, Northview HS: The 6-foot-3, 205 pound sophomore RHP has committed to Indiana. Tucker has a fastball that sits in the mid 80's, topping out at 88 this past season.  

Carter Lohman, LHP, Hamilton Southeastern HS
: The 6-foot-1, 175 pound sophomore LHP has committed to Louisville.  Lohman was a member of Team Indiana at this year's Future Games and has a fastball up to 85 with a good breaking ball and plus changeup. 

Grant Richardson, LHP/OF, Bishop Dwenger HS: Richardson is a 6-foot-2, 175 pound sophomore with tons of athleticism.  A legit two-way prospect, Richardson has committed to Indiana.  He was a member of Team Indiana at this year's Future Games where he was up to 86 on the mound, ran 6.85-60 and recorded a high exit velocity of 91 mph.
