It was a beautiful spring day across the Commonwealth last night with a lot of action on the diamond. Here’s a look at some of the scores and highlights from around the state.

Power 25 Scores and Highlights

#24 Ballard 5, #1 St. Xavier 4
Trailing 4-1, Ballard scored 4 runs over the final two innings for the come-from-behind win. Dylan Ecken went 2-for-2 with a double, DeShaun McGinnis doubled and drove in 3 runs, Brady Lysher collected 2 hits, and Sam Bevin drove in 2 runs in the victory. Zach Martin scattered 6 hits and allowed 1 run over 4 innings, and Bevin picked up the win in relief. Ben Tedesco doubled twice and drove in 3 runs while also allowing 1 run with 8 K’s in 5 IP in the Tigers loss.

Paul Osting went 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Chase Armstrong doubled and drove in 2 runs as the Rocks scored late to claim the win. Thomas Nettles picked up the win in relief with 3.1 scoreless innings and 5 K’s.

Jack Bennett and Nate Lang each had 2 hits and drove in a run, and Ross Aldridge allowed just 3 hits and no runs with 6 K’s in 5 IP to pick up the win.

Parker Chaney went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, Cole Ginter had 2 hits, and Matthew Maggard drove in 3 runs as LCA scored 5 runs in the 4th to take the victory. Hayden Collins picked up the win, and Elijah Hammonds closed the door with 3 scoreless innings of relief.

Chase Edmonds went 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI, Chance Edmonds went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Cade Rusch had 2 hits and drove in a run for the Mustangs. Tyler Pyles struck out 8 over 4.2 innings to record the win.

Baron Ratliff went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 HR, and 7 RBI, and Isaac Taylor added a solo HR as Paintsville held on for the win.

Dominic Davis went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI, Patrick Forbes went 2-for-2 with a double, Trent Warden went 2-for-3 with a double, and Nathaniel Roof had 2 hits and 2 RBI in the rout. Dillon Maners struck out 6 over 4 innings to pick up the win.

Brody Williams homered, and Peyton Williams doubled in the Lyon Co win. Jackson Shoulders and John Bingham combined to allow just 2 hits with 10 K’s on the mound.

Woodford Co 5, #19 Sayre 1
Bryce Patterson went 2-for-2 with a HR and 2 RBI, and Austin Markwell drove in 2 runs as Woodford knocked off Sayre for the second time this season. Cole Dycus worked 5 innings allowing 1 run with 7 K;s for the win.

Eastern 6, #20 Central Hardin 2
Ryan Welch went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI, and Jake Lind added 2 hits in the Eastern win. Kellen Brandenburg homered in the Central Hardin loss.

Sam Stacy fired a 5-inning no-hitter with 9 K’s in Beechwood’s first game of the season. Nazario Pangallo went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Matt Kappes went 2-for-2 with a RBI, Sam Cottengim tripled and drove in 3 runs, and Brice Estep doubled and had 2 RBI in the win.

Jacob McDonald tripled and drove in 2 runs, and Braxton Brinegar went 2-for-3 with a RBI as Tates Creek held off a late rally for the victory. Mason Kraemer worked 5 scoreless innings with 7 K’s to record the win.

Dalton Fiveash, Cole Wix, and Luke Richardson all collected 2 hits apiece in the Wildcats win. Fiveash went the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits and 1 unearned run with 10 K’s.

Karson Elliot went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Drake DeFreitas went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Jamison Curd had 3 hits and a RBI in the Graves Co win. Hayden Alexander worked 4 innings allowing 1 run with 6 K’s on the mound.

Daviess Co 3, Henderson Co 2
Carson Troutman went 2-for-3, and Layton Huskisson doubled and drove in a run in the victory. Jackson Loucks allowed 2 runs over 5.2 effective innings for Daviess Co.

Wayne CO 6, Pulaski Co 5
Renan Dobbs had 2 hits and 2 RBI as Wayne Co pulled out the 8-inning win. Dobbs also picked up the win with 2.1 scoreless innings and 7 K’s. Brady Cain went 3-for-5 with a double for Pulaski Co.
