DIVISION I RANKED TEAM SCORES

No. 1 Strongsville (18-3) 

No. 2 Grove City (20-2) 

No. 3 Moeller (19-4) and No. 17 Elder finished their suspended game from Wednesday, April 25.  The score was tied 6-6 in the top of the seventh inning as the two teams got back together.  Moeller used Brian Burkhart as a reliever and he retired the Panthers in order in the top of the seventh.  In the bottom of the seventh, Spencer Iacovone doubled to lead off the inning, Zack Shannon was intentionally walked, Jordan Simpson had an infield single and Brad Macciocchi lined a ball into right field for the walk off win.  For Elder, Daniel Schwarz was 2-5 and Jeremy White doubled in 2 runs.  For Moeller, Ryan LeFevers was 2-3 with a triple.  Spencer Iacovone doubled and homered and drove in 3 runs, Zack Shannon also homered, Jordan Simpson was 2-4 with a double, Brad Macciocchi was 2-4, and Nick Edwards doubled. In the second game, Moeller defeated No. 17 St. Xavier 7-5.  St. Xavier scored 2 unearned runs in the top of the second inning against starter Brian Burkhart.  Moeller answered with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the second aided by a Brad Macciocchi double and Riley Mahan single.  Moeller then added two more runs in the fourth on another Brad Macciocchi double and Nick Edwards single.  After X scored one run in the fifth, Moeller tacked two more runs on in the sixth on singles by Jordan Simpson, Nick Edwards and Cameron Whitehead.  Brian Burkhart ran his record to 6-1 by throwing 5 innings allowing 7 hits while striking out 6.  Phillip Diehl threw 1.2 innings of relief striking out 4 and John Hakemoller picked up the save striking out the last batter.

No. 5 Avon (19-3) fell to Midview (14-7) 9-6.

No. 6 Hudson (18-2)

Junior Cordt Skraba (.311) had 2  singles, a triple, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.  Senior Tucker Linder (.439) had 2 doubles, a sacrifice fly and 3 RBI.  Linder now has 31 RBI for the year.  Senior Matt Boyer (.318) had 2 singles and 2 RBI.

No. 22 Wauseon (14-4) beat Archbold 11-10 (9 inn). Sophomore Ty Suntken had a huge day picking up the win on the mound in relief. At the plate Suntken had a double, two 3-run home runs and 6 RBI.

In the second game, Cincinnati Christian's Ryan Arington threw a CG and had a HR and 3 RBI.
