Mississippi Class of 2024 Rankings: Official Release

After a busy summer full of events in the Magnolia State, the Class of 2024 Player Rankings is long overdue for an update as these players have just started their final year of their high school careers. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup as we have expanded the list to 150 players.

+ Uber talented dual prospect Konnor Griffin holds on to the top spot once again in Mississippi after a solid 2023 spring and summer. The LSU recruit continues to show his in-game dominance offensively, defensively, and on the mound. Look for Griffin to lead the Jackson Prep Patriots this spring in search of a 7th straight MAIS 6A title and later next summer hear his name called on Day 1 of the MLB Draft. 

+ Sam Richardson makes the jump to #2 in the 2024 class and has plenty of tools to hear his phone ring on Day 1 as well. The recent Texas commit will use his amazingly quick bat in effort to lead Lewisburg back to Trustmark Park after capturing the title this past spring. 

+ Gulfport’s Ethan Surowiec, an Ole Miss commit, settles in at the #3 spot as another big time dual prospect. Surowiec works up to 91 mph on the mound, has good speed (6.7), and shows plenty of power potential at the plate with an exit velocity nearing 100 mph. 

+ Lewisburg has been blessed with an abundance of arms over the past couple of seasons and two of those arms make their way into the Top 5 of the 2024 class rankings. RHP Cayden Baker (#4), a Baylor commit, along with fellow RHP Stone McCaughey (#5), an Ole Miss commit, look to lead one of the top staffs in the South to back to back State Championships.
