Kevin Moulder
Missouri Scouting Director

The final ranking before heading into the "offseason" for Missouri's senior class produced some interesting movement, including a new #1, updated commitments, some major risers and a look at a couple of the top uncommitted players in the state.

Off to college

CHRISTIAN LITTLE RHP / CBC, MO / 2021

The states top ranked player has decided to forgo his senior season at CBC and the opportunity of the 2020 MLB draft to enroll at Vanderbilt a year a head of schedule. Little will now be eligible for the MLB draft again after his junior season at Vanderbilt as a 19 year old.

The new 1

Carter Jensen C / Park Hill , MO / 2021

The left handed hitting catcher is the Show-Me states newly ranked #1 player in the 2021 class. One of the countries top catching prospects you won't find many catchers in general with the offensive upside as Jensen who performed at a high level this summer.

The Risers

Zach Dantuono RHP / Westminster Christian Academy, MO / 2021

An arm gaining a lot of traction lately Dantuano has shown he'll be a must see arm this coming spring for scouts. The projectable righthander has been as high as 93, performing at a high level this summer at multiple events and tournaments.

Signed: Missouri

Drew Townsend OF / Park Hill, MO / 2021

The 6 foot 3 lefthanded hitting Townsend displayed plus power potential throughout the summer.  The ball carries well off his bat and has some natural lift in his swing. A solid OF defender and runner to make for a well rounded game.

Commitment: Missouri State

Bennett Stice RHP / Palmyra R-1, MO / 2021

The 6 foot 6, RHP recently impressed at the fall St. Louis Open event. Showing a 3 pitch mix FB 87-89 with plus life and downward plane, CB 74-77 and CH 80-82. The big leap in velocity will make Stice an arm to keep an eye on next spring.

The Uncommitted

Jacob Frost 1B / Oakville , MO / 2021

The top uncommitted 2 way prospect in the 2021 class Frost impressed both on the mounnd and at the plate at the Fall MOKAN State Games. A dominating performance on the mound the LHP sat in the mid 80's with a above average breaking ball. At the plate he showed off plus pop during BP recording an exit vlo of 98.

Uncommitted

Mason Whiteside 2B / Fort Zumwalt West, MO / 2021

Perhaps the top uncommitted left handed bat in the class. Whiteside is an offensive oriented infielder with feel for hitting. Defensively he has shown a strong throwing arm on the infield and in the OF. 7.08 60.

Joshua Herget C / Seckman, MO / 2021

The top ranked uncommitted catcher in the Missouri '21 class. A strong armed catcher with pop times as low as a 1.97 and consistent in the low 2.0's. Offensively has strength in his swing showing he should be a catcher than have a positive impact on both sides of the game.
