Team Two Reports

Niko Droukas, OF (2018/Brookfield) Athletic 6-foot, 175-pound infielder ran a 6.89/60, down slightly from 6.66 in March but still impresses with foot speed. Offensively - loose and fluid swing out of slightly upright stance, keeps bat on a level plane through the zone for an exit velocity of 85 MPH - up from 81 MPH in March; repeatable motion with some pre-pitch movement, comfortable driving ball to middle third of the field; increased lower body engagement will add to the velocity. Defensively - uses sound footwork to set up for outfield velocity of 76 MPH with an accurate arm. Smooth transfer with soft hands in the infield. Really stoodout in game action during the NYS Games, hit a HR off one of the top 2020 arms in the state.

Shane Cuevas, OF (2018/Valley Central) Slender 6-foot, 172-pound build with a 6.89/60. Offensively - smooth and fluid swing out of an upright stance, uses slight toe tap with little stride for an exit velocity of 88 MPH; effective load, repeatable motion, keeps bat on level plane through the zone, quick hands; engagement of lower body will add to power. Defensively - agile footwork, fluid motions in the outfield with a smooth and easy with an outfield velocity of 79 MPH.

Robert Ray, OF/LHP (2018/Bayport Bluepoint) Sturdy 5-foot-8, 165-pound build ran a 6.9/60. Offensively - effective load, quick hands, appropriate pre-pitch movement for an exit velocity of 81 MPH; comfortable driving the ball to the middle third of the field. Defensively - compact approach, builds momentum with agile footwork for outfield velocity of 85 MPH. Pitching - uses slight hesitation, hides ball well, fastball between 78-80 MPH that touches 83 MPH induces weak contact, tight shape on curveball 72-73 MPH, gets downward action on change-up at 73-74 MPH.

Andrew Guihan, OF (2019/Kennedy Catholic) Slender 6-foot, 145-pound frame who ran 7.08/60, projectable build as he fills into his body. Offensively - segmented pre-pitch movement, keeps bat on level plane through the zone, full extension on follow through with an exit velocity of 84 MPH, engagement of lower body is evident, with experience and timing power should follow, comfortable driving ball to middle third of the field. Defensively - uses comfortable, fluid footwork to gather self and build momentum behind throws at 80 MPH from the outfield, smooth transfer, finding consistent release point will improve overall accuracy.

Quinn McDonald, MIF (2018/Ridgefield) Athletic 6-0, 165-pound frame with room to grow, handles size well with balanced and clean movements, ran a 7.1/60.  Offensively - exit velocity improved slightly from from 80 MPH in December to 84 MPH, further lower body engagement should add to that number in the future, maintains level bat plane through the zone, quick, strong hands, comfortable staying middle third of the field, gets consistent barrel contact. Defensively - soft hands, smooth transfer, quiet feet, comfortable getting low to the ground, accurate arm with an infield velocity of 81 MPH.

Jaz Burton, 1B (2019/Kennedy Catholic) 6-foot-3 frame with tremendous upside, easy to see him improving on his 7.14/60 as he continues to mature. Offensively - effortless swing with little to no lower body engagement results in an exit velocity at 86 MPH, easy juice in the bat to all fields, scary to think what can happen when he creates counter rotation with upper and lower torso, strong, quick hands guide bat through zone on a level plane. Defensively - agile with fluid movements in the outfield, gathers body for an accurate arm at 78 MPH.

Tyler Outhouse, OF (2019/Kennedy Catholic) Slender 6-foot, 155-pound frame with a 7.15/60. Offensively - keeps bat on level plane through the zone with a slight upper cut, repeatable motion, full extension from follow through, strong hands and an exit velocity of 84 MPH down slightly (88 MPH) from the Academic Games but still a prospect to watch, has barely engaged  lower half when that happens expect power to increase. Defensively - increased arm strength to 81 MPH and is still scratching the surface, smooth and effortless from the outfield with accuracy. Pitching - Fastball at 73-74 MPH has late life that fools batters, induces weak or no contact, changes eye level, moves in and out; incorporating a second pitch will add to fastball’s deception. Outhouse keeps showing us he's a next-level player.

Chance to be a special catching prospect.

Lucas Feliciano, MIF (2019/Kennedy Catholic) Projectable body at 6-foot-2 and 155 pounds with a 7.57/60. Offensively - smooth, fluid swing with full extension in follow through, repeatable motion and exit velocity of 81 MPH, exciting to think what he is possible of doing as he fills into his frame and learns how to engage his lower half. Defensively - smooth and fluid, soft hands, quiet feet with a quick release and an infield velocity of 77 MPH, confident body language, strong upside.

Alfredo Delgado, RHP/3B (2019/Fordham Prep) Athletic 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame bubbling over with upside and a 7.62/60. Offensively - smooth, fluid swing and an exit velocity of 85 MPH, strong, quick hands keep bat on a level plane through the zone, repeatable motion, appropriate pre-pitch movement, could explore further lower body engagement. Offensively - smooth, fluid swing, keeps bat on level plane through the zone, full extension to follow through, repeatable motion with an exit velocity at 72 MPH, quick hands, lower body engagement as he grows into his frame will produce increased power. Pitching - evidence of hip tilt at balance point, smooth and clean mechanics, gets downward plane on fastball at 73-75 MPH that touches 76 MPH, late action creates weak contact.

Stephen Fisher, C (2018/John Jay-River Cross) Stocky 5-foot-7, 170-pound catcher, ran an 8.17/60, Offensively - gets full extension from upright stance for an exit velocity of 83 MPH, strong hands, brings bat through zone on flat plane, comfortable driving the ball to middle third, lower body engagement will add to power. Defensively - soft hands, smooth and poised, agile, quiet feet, easy transfer with an infield velocity of 84 MPH from all angles. Recent commitment to George Washington.

Jake Weintraub, RHP (2018/Irvington) Lengthy 6-foot-7, 195-pound RHP, with a projectable body. Pitching - uses height to create downward plane on fastball at 78-80 MPH that touches 81 MPH, late life makes it difficult for batters to time, has confidence in 1-to-7 curveball shape at 64-65 MPH, developing hip tilt to create power.

Joe Sgobbo, LHP (2019/Yorktown) Athletic 6-foot-5, 235-pound left-hander. Pitching - uses height to create downward plane on fastball 82-84 MPH, has been up to 85.
