+ C Hudson Walburn (Vestavia Hills, 2023) has been a key component of the Rebels’ lineup over the past few years, and got his season started off with a bang this weekend against some formidable arms. On a weekend where he had multiple hits hitting in the middle of the order, the Jacksonville State signee delivered in a clutch moment in their first game of the weekend with a deep three-run home run over the left field wall to give his team a lead late in the contest that they never relinquished. Standing 5-foot-11, 180-pounds with proportional strength throughout his frame, the right-hander gets excellent extension out front and looks to create damage with each swing. He has strong, quick hands from the right side of the plate and looks to drive the ball to both gaps in his approach. Equally adept behind the plate, the backstop has a prototypical catcher's build with solid receiving skills and above average arm strength from the crouch and accuracy on his throws to the second-base bag.
