The Road to the Nevada State Games begins with the 2023 Nevada high school baseball season. With the season just around the corner, our staff has begun putting out team previews from all around the state, getting you prepared for another year of in-depth coverage. The depth of talent throughout the Silver State is impressively deep in each class, making for an exciting Spring that will culminate at the 2023 State Tournament in Reno, Nevada.

RECORD: 25-2

+ The Gaels stay strong at #1 with a key Top 5 win this past week over a talented Faith Lutheran group, extending their win streak to 14 straight.

RECORD: 20-6

+ The Wolves are geared up for a playoff push with a few seed deciding games this week to wrap up the regular season and could have major implications heading into the Regional Tournament.

+ Their is, arguably, no hotter team in the state right now that the Green Valley Gators winning 7 straight with four impressive wins this past week as they head into the final regular season week with one conference game left against a talented Centennial group.

+ After an impressive pair of wins two weeks ago, the Diamondbacks lost their only game of the week this past week with a chance to bounce back today vs. a scrappy Spring Valley team.

RECORD: 15-8

+ The Crusaders have hit a skid over their last three game, an electric game against Bishop Gorman that came down to the last pitch, ultimately ending in a 4-2 loss, then had a tough loss the next day vs. Arbor View. Faith looks to answer back today against Liberty as the playoffs are right around the corner.

+ The Bulldogs are catching their stride as they seem to do every year with the playoffs starting next week. They have one final conference matchup that will help decide the seeding for the 5A South - Desert Conference.

RECORD: 19-6

+ The Huskies hold strong at #7 with a huge matchup against #8 ranked Bishop Manogue that will have major playoff seeding implications.

RECORD: 21-7

+ The Manogue bats are catching fire at the right time, winning 7 of their last 8 while scoring 10+ runs in four of those games with a key matchup vs. Reno set for tomorrow afternoon.

+ The Cougars have hit a skid over the last two weeks, losing 5 straight against a gauntlet of a schedule and it doesn't slow down as they match up against #2 ranked Basic today. The Cougars have the talent and grit to turn it around, but can they do it before playoffs kick off next week?

+ The Mustangs have rattled off 7 straight wins and secured the #1 seed in the Class 4A Desert Conference as they have their eyes on a potential repeat of lifting the State Championship trophy.
