PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Reed: I’m looking for a smaller school where I can succeed academically, and also a baseball program that will help me grow as a player.
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?
Reed: I had a good junior year. I hit over .350 playing mostly RF and little LF. Our league was loaded with pitching so it was great experience facing some of the best pitchers in the country.
Our team was very successful last year. We were Sunflower League and Regional Champions. We had a great group of seniors that will be missed this year.
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?
Reed: Personally, I want to be more consistent at the plate and use the entire field. I need to get stronger this off-season as well.
From a team perspective; I want to lead us to another Sunflower League Championship. We have a great group of younger guys coming up to Varsity this year so I’m looking forward to be part of another successful run to State.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Reed: I’ve played the last three summers with Jeremy Jones and Building Champions. I’m not playing fall ball due to football.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Reed: Football. I play tailback at Olathe South.
